    ERCCA presents, The Sudics!
This is the first year of this series and the idea is to have a winter RC Crawler comp in the southern European countries where snow is not a problem and (relatively), good weather is present.
Get out of your sub zero temps and enjoy some days of RC Crawling is decent temperatures!
    Come to Portugal!

Were is it and how to get there?

The event will take place from the 10th to 12th of March 2023 in Mendiga, Portugal.

For people flying in, the even location is about 1h30 from Lisbon International Airport.

Unfortunately there are not many options for public transport...
Sharing a rental car is a cost effective way to get there.

But if you need help getting there please contact me.

    Where to Sleep?

    We were recomending
HI Alvados - Pousada de Juventude but this place had an issue and it's no longer available for this event.

This means that Airbnb, and Booking (or similar websites), are your best options.
Biggest city close to the comp site is Porto de Mós, about 25min drive.

There are places available close to the comp site.
if you can't find anything and need advice you can always contact me.

What to do besides RC Crawling?

This area is known to have a few grotto that can be visited.

Porto de Mós is the biggest city that is close by.
It has supermarkets, restaurants and so on.
It also has a small, but nice, Castle.

If you like sea and Surfing, Nazaré, known to have the biggest surfable wave in the world, is not too far as well.

    Course design
Course builders will be selected among the participants and are required to be arrive on location a bit earlier.
Course builders can (and are encouraged to), invite other participants to help out in course building.

Regular courses will have 10 regular gates + 2 bonus gates.
Courses will have 5 minutes without the possibility of "buying" time.

Final course for the Pro class will have 6 minutes with 10 Regular gates + 5 Bonus gates.
Drivers of the final will run one at a time and the others yet to run will not be able to see the driver on course.

    Judging:

Here is the important bit you need to read. We want to make this competition our joint effort. That's why we have chosen the most efficient way of judging; group modus.

We will split the drivers in groups. Each group will drive one course simultaneously. We will make the groups based on the level of the drivers. Each group should have experienced drivers, semi experienced drivers and newcomers. Each group has a group chief who will be responsible for the group. However this doesn't mean that the group chief will be the only responsible for Judging!! Judging duties should be shared among all the participants of the group.
We will try to put two drivers from one country into each group so nobody is left "alone".

Starting driver for the first course of each group will be randomly selected and then will follow the group order for that course.
The following course will have the next driver on the group as starting driver, and so on for the next courses.

Scoring will be done via organization mobile phones and results will be live at https://crawlerresults.com/
