    WRCCA Worlds 2025

    Where and when?

It is going to be held from18 to 21 of September 2025 in Serro Ventoso, Portugal.

Located in the heart of Portugal it is still only 30min drive to the coast line, where you can see the biggest waves in the World, in Nazaré.
If you are flying in, the easier option is to fly to Lisbon and then you will need a car, as public transports are not abundant.

    This is my preferred route:

    Where to Sleep?

We are not managing accommodation, but it would be nice if people could be together.
HI Alvados - Pousada de Juventude is relatively close and cost effective. You have rooms for share with others, or not, and they have a relatively big capacity.

Other then that there are the normal Airbnb, and Booking (or similar websites), as your best options.
Biggest city close to the comp site is Porto de Mós, about 15-20min drive.

If you need advice you can always contact me.

What to do besides RC Crawling?

This area is known to have a few grotto that can be visited.

Porto de Mós is the biggest city that is close by.
It has supermarkets, restaurants and so on.
It also has a small, but nice, Castle.

If you like sea and Surfing, Nazaré, known to have the biggest surfable wave in the world, is not too far as well.

    Course design:

Course builders will be selected among the participants and are required to be arrive on location a bit earlier.
Course builders can (and are encouraged to), invite other participants to help out in course building.

We are planning for double start on every class, this means 2 drivers on the same course at the same time.
Course builders should have this in mind and not overlap the courses too much.

Regular courses will have 10 regular gates + 2 bonus gates.
    Courses will have 5 minutes.

Final courses will have 6 minutes with 10 Regular gates + 5 Bonus gates.
Drivers of the final will run one at a time and the others yet to run will not be able to see the driver on course.

    Judging:

Here is the important bit you need to read. We want to make this competition our joint effort. That's why we have chosen the most efficient way of judging; group modus.

We will split the drivers in groups. Each group will drive one course simultaneously. We will make the groups based on the level of the drivers. Each group should have experienced drivers, semi experienced drivers and newcomers. Each group has a group leader who will be responsible for the group. However this doesn't mean that the group leader will be the only responsible for Judging!! Judging duties should be shared among all the participants of the group.

We are planing for double start on every class!
This means that there will be 2 driver on course and the same time, so we need at least 2 judges per driver.
Every driver on the group is expected to also judge.

Starting driver for the first course of each group will be randomly selected and then will follow the group order for that course.
The following course will have the next driver on the group as starting driver, and so on for the next courses.

Scoring will be done via organization mobile phones and results will be live at https://crawlerresults.com/

    Registration:

Registration will be open earlier in 2025, so more info on that later.

There will be invites sent for the best drivers of the most important comps in the world.

We will open a "x" number of registrations by region (Europe, USA, Asia/Australia) Once these are filled we will open the remaining available slots to whoever wants.

We are planning to have the available slots and we would like to have them all filled, so we can have the biggest event in the last 8 or 10 years:

    Mini: 60 drivers
    Super: 40 drivers
    Performance Scale: 100 drivers
    Sportsman: 100 drivers:
    Pro: 100 drivers

Registration will be managed by the organization, so please be patient if we take some time to reply to emails.
Official email of the event is:
    wrccaworlds2025@gmail.com

Registration will have a cost of 25€ per class.

    Event Merch:

We plan on having event T-shirts and/or hoodies.
    Cost will be:
    25€ per T-shirt
    35€ per hoodie

    Other Merch might be available.
