  • Little information about some site benefits here.

So up top you see Forums - Blogs - Articles - Groups all in tabs. I found a posting I thought was a good example of how each is good to have and use.

Many sites, including this one, were established long before Articles, Blogs, and Social Groups were features. As such, they are centered around forums even though Articles, Blogs, and Social Groups are more community oriented and boast stronger feature sets in some aspects.
    1. Articles are good for long form curated content.
    2. Blogs are great if you have a site centered around user journals (popular on health, exercise, wedding, and pregnancy sites) then blogs are the best method of providing these.
    3. Forums are good for directed content that site staff want to control. Great for support oriented sites.
    4. Groups are great for freeform discussion. With groups, the users create and manage their own groups, share ideas, and so forth. This could be useful for Enthusiast sites. Sites where there is a main Subject but many ways to be enthusiastic about that subject. Like home aquariums, gardening, photography, travel, etc...
So this site can offer all of those to various member groups.

WRCCA commitee could benefit with the Articles tab - write articles about events, coverage, new things coming out, new ideas, basically anything they wanted to write an article about. Something like using a newspaper to bring the news to people.

The blogs can really be a useful spot vendors, crawling companies. They can get their very own blog section for what ever they want to write. This can be something that comes included with their registering here.

Groups - groups can really be beneficial for Clubs and helping to get more clubs formed and become stronger. This is something registered users can have access to, let them form groups and people can join them. Not much different then using a facebook group but now its in one central dedicated crawling site again.

More benefits this site can bring that other crawler sites dont/cant offer.

Facebook integration - there is a lot this site can do to help attract and keep members coming here. When they register they can associate their own facebook site to this one and use it as their login. This also helps get the site onto the fb platform and others to see. Help attract more facebook members back to a dedicated comp crawling organization.

      Private messages and Messenger -

Members can use the messaging service in the software much like fb messenger. Lets say they send a PM to another member, that other member is Online at the time. IT would pop up and allow the two users to actually chat back and forth in real time. They wouldnt have to wait for a user to respond then send then they have to open and read and repeat the whole thing.

They can also start group chats on here in the same way.
